Ginger Porter
managing director, texas
Pure and simple, GolinHarris inspires and energizes me from head to toe. Since joining the GH family nearly 8 years ago, I've truly found a home that fuels my passion for the industry and keeps my career interesting with exciting new challenges. As Managing Director for Texas, my priority is to inspire our teams and bring new ideas and creative approaches that help our clients meet their goals, whether it's helping Texas Instruments sell more semiconductors, creating brand loyalty among pet “parents” for PetSmart, providing Cisco's sales force with new preference-building programs or building corporate social responsibility programs for Kimberly-Clark and Southwest Airlines.
With nearly two decades in public relations and advertising under my belt, I've worked with all shapes and sizes of consumer and technology brands — doing branding, corporate messaging, marketing communications, executive training, CSR, social media and more. Together, with the talented teams I lead across Texas, we help our clients make deeper and more meaningful connections with their customers, from the engineer to the mom-on-the-go to the tech-savvy teenager. I also serve as a global thought leader for Change, our practice that helps corporations define and develop new corporate citizenship programs. I'm proud to join clients in their journeys to build stronger brands by strengthening trust with their consumers, partners and employees.
My past career adventures in broadcasting and advertising led me to GH, where it's like the stars aligned in my universe and I can “grow where I'm planted,” as the saying goes. Each day brings new opportunities to thrive personally and professionally, and to continue helping clients promote and protect their brands. I always say that I've never really had a bad day at GolinHarris because every day at Golin is a better day than anywhere else.
