Calling all rowers! We’ve partnered with AT&T’s Employee Resource Group as a community team for the 2023 Dragon Boat Race in Las Colinas!
Provision and Information:
NAAAP-DFW will provide bottle waters and Liquid IV packets for our rowers through the course of the day. Outside food and drinks will not be allowed per event regulations. Rowers are not allowed to wear logos or names other than team/organization name. Team members are not allowed to conduct any commercial or marketing activity while participating at the event.
About the Event
The DFW DragonBoat, Kite, and Lantern festival showcases and celebrates a multitude of multicultural art and sports to celebrate the Asian-American heritage. The day-long festival features riveting dragon boat races, kite and lantern making, music and dance, food and many more. The area will have food and drinks provided from local small businesses and vendors.
The Dragon Boat Race is a traditional Chinese water sport that has gained popularity worldwide, including in Dallas. Teams of paddlers, typically consisting of 20 members, race in long, narrow boats decorated to resemble dragons. The goal is to paddle in sync to reach the finish line as quickly as possible.
