Back to School Giveaway

Details: It’s going to be a day full of food, drinks, and FUN for the whole family! We’re giving back to the community and helping our kiddos start the school year off RIGHT! PLUS — Don’t worry if your child is missing shots! There will be a Mobile Immunization Truck on site to get them caught up. Just bring their shot records and you’re all set. It’s FREE for the children!

Multicultural Workshop 2025

When: August 23rd, 9AM – 2PM

Details: The Dallas Police Department’s Office of Community Affairs is proud to present the inaugural Multicultural Workshop on Saturday, August 23, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Dallas College Mountain View Campus (4849 W. Illinois Ave, Dallas, TX 75211). As part of the 2025 Anti-Hate Initiative, this workshop aims to eliminate cultural prejudice, build greater understanding, and foster mutual respect among the diverse communities of Dallas. 

The event will feature six engaging classroom sessions covering the history of Asian immigrants in Dallas, Hispanic heritage in the city, Native American traditions, African American history in Dallas, LGBTQ cultural awareness, human rights, and strategies for confronting prejudice and hatred. Following the educational sessions and lunch, attendees will enjoy a series of cultural performances celebrating our city’s rich diversity. This workshop also serves as a lead-up to the upcoming Anti-Hate Community Walk, scheduled for October 11th
