Asian American Heritage Festival

When: May 10th, 2025

Where: 520 W State St. Garland, TX 75040

Details: Join us on Saturday, May 10, from 5 to 10 p.m. for Garland’s 3rd Annual Asian American Heritage Festival, now in its brand-new home at the Downtown Garland Square!

Celebrate the rich cultures of Asian-Pacific American communities with a day full of exciting events. Enjoy cultural performances from countries such as Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Cambodia, the Philippines, and more. Highlights include a Colorful World Parade, a mesmerizing lion dance, unique craft stalls, and live performances. 🎶

Plus, don’t miss out on Ube Land, a celebration of all things ube presented by Scoop N’ Buns. 💜 Indulge in purple treats, Filipino flavors, and shop handcrafted goods from local vendors.

3rd Annual AAPI Celebration

When: May 10th, 2025

Where: 2403 Flora St., Dallas, TX 75201

Details: This event will highlight the cultures of six Asian countries this year: Armenia, China, India, Korea, Thailand, and Turkey. Guests will experience various cultural performances, explore a vendor market, enjoy hands-on crafts, and much more. A fun part of the event will be the “culinary passport,” which lets attendees taste snacks from each country and enter for a chance to win a prize.

Asian Heritage Festival at Asia Times Square in Grand Prairie

When: May 9-11th

Where: 2625 W Pioneer Pkwy, Grand Prairie, TX 75051

Details: This three-day festival offers food, cultural displays, and live entertainment, honoring the contributions of Asian Americans. Attendees can enjoy diverse cuisines and learn about the history and achievements of Asian American communities.

Asian American Pacific Islander Mini Festival

When: May 17th, 2025 12 PM – 7 PM

Where: 211 East Pleasant Run Road DeSoto, TX 75115

Details: The AAPI Festival is a vibrant celebration and an incredible opportunity to connect with the Asian American and Pacific Islander community, as well as the public at large. Our goal is to bring together hundreds of people from across the Best South West, showcasing the rich diversity of Asian cultures through captivating performances, delicious food, and live music. Local community organizations will be involved, creating a sense of unity and support. This is your chance to forge meaningful connections with Asian businesses and community leaders, building relationships that will last for years to come. Come be part of something truly special!

AANHPI Celebration at AT&T Discovery District

When: May 18th, 2025

Where: 308 S Akard St, Dallas, TX 75202

Details: Celebrate with live performances, food specials, and a DJ set starting at 2 p.m. At 7 p.m., enjoy a screening of Lilo & Stitch on the 104-foot Media Wall. Complimentary parking is available with merchant validation.

The Struggle for Dignity and Human Rights in the Dallas Asian American Community.

When: May 22nd, 2025 7 PM – 9 PM

Where: 3225 University Boulevard, Dallas, TX 75205

Details: It’s hosted by Human Rights Dallas and the Dallas Asian American Historical Society, and will take place on Thursday, May 22nd, from 7 to 9 PM at McCord Auditorium at SMU. Major Thai will be one of the featured panelists, sharing his personal story.
